    Responsibilities

    The HVAC Sales Representative is a critical role reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Field Operations. This role supports HomeServe’s goal to dramatically increase installation revenue growth (Heating, Cooling and Water Heaters) within the Energy Services business in New York.   This position will collaborate with the Marketing, Business Development, Service Delivery and other organizations to develop and execute sales strategies that will result in increased market share for traditional heating and cooling installation volumes.

    • Lead efforts to sell Installation and future products to residential customers, homeowner organizations, professional organizations, small commercial or other targeted clients within assigned territory
    • Identify and conducts follow-up on leads generated through professional organizations, trade shows, community events, technicians, advertising and other lead generating techniques
    • Conduct post sale follow-up by contacting customer(s) to ensure service expectations are being met and to generate referrals
    • Present sales presentation and proposal to prospects, identifying positive features and advantages of our products and services over those of the competition
    • Help develop appropriate sales process and collateral for closing leads generated by demand marketing, call center and field engineers.
    • Conduct market analysis to determine HomeServe USA competitive position regarding products, pricing and service levels for areas of responsibility
    • Uncover and leverage customer and competitor insights to enhance product offering and enhance customer value.
    • Coordinate the execution and review of RFPs with Legal, Business Development and other departments where applicable
    • Assist in the development of corporate marketing material, collateral and advertisements
    • Assist in determining and implementing appropriate strategies to expand residential, retail and small commercial markets
    • Participate in various networking opportunities within targeted  professional, community or technical organizations
    • Interfaces and works collaboratively with the Service Delivery organization to solve customer needs

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
    • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
    • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience.  HVAC knowledge preferred.
    • Extensive experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within NY / Suffolk County Long Island market
