    Responsibilities

    Position Overview

     

    We are searching for innovative, passionate, results-driven lead generation people who will help us continue to grow our US business through partnerships with utilities and municipalities across North America

     

    The position, which will report to the Director of Business Development, will spearhead the development of lead generation and sales support efforts focused on utilities and municipalities throughout the U.S. and Canada. The role requires the ability to manage lead generation and sales support processes to allow the Business Development Specialist (BDS) team to set meeting appointments for the inside and outside sales teams.  

    • Manage a team of Business Development Specialists specializing in lead generation and sales support to ensure goals and targets are achieved, provide training and coaching on desired skills and process
    • Use sales enablement platform and Salesforce.com to analyze lead generation cadences to ensure the right cadence is being presented to each prospect to ensure conversion goals are met and productive meetings are set
    • Create and monitor individual performance plans for BDS reps to ensure success
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders on behalf of the business development lead generation and sales teams to keep teams focused on the sales objectives.
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive analysis and reporting to internal and executive team members to ensure lead generation strategy is optimized
    • Prepare and present to management pivots to strategy and process quickly as needed to keep the BDS team on target

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or 5+ years related experience
    • 5 years demonstrated success leading telephone-based sales, outbound lead generation or telephone-based sales operations teams
    • Strong project management and leadership skills
    • Excellent data analysis and report creation skills
    • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and growth-oriented organization
    • Able to comply with 20-25% business travel
    • Experience in/with utility industry or state/local government is a plus as is managing sales through an RFP process
    • Experience with Salesforce required
    • Experience with sales enablement tools a strong plus
