    Responsibilities

     

    In this position, the Senior Legal Counsel will have the opportunity to do work that has an immediate impact on our employees, customers, and business. Successful candidates must be confident and have previous corporate legal experience with a strong track record in managing a broad range of legal issues and interacting closely with business leaders.     Responsibilities:

    • Advising the business leaders on significant legal issues impacting the business
    • Leading the drafting and hands-on negotiation of diverse commercial agreements without additional legal supervision (including partner and vendor agreements).
    • Supporting legal review of consumer contracts (i.e., consumer terms & conditions) and managing escalated consumer complaints.
    • Researching and analyzing legal issues to ensure compliance with laws and regulations to protect the legal interests of HomeServe USA.
    • Supporting the Deputy General Counsel in his role, including with respect to M&A transactions.
    • Providing legal support on a broad range of corporate and operational matters.
    • Working with the Deputy General Counsel and other members of the legal team in handling special projects.
    • Monitoring and advising on any new legal developments that might affect the Company.

     

    Qualifications

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and a member in good standing of the Bar in PA or TN (as applicable)(or ability to become Authorized House Counsel in the relevant state).
    • 5-10 years of corporate experience handling a variety of legal issues and providing legal advice to a diverse client base.
    • Experience must be related to areas of responsibilities and include progressively responsible experience within a corporate environment.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills required.
    • The ability to work in an open team environment.
    • The ability to protect the Company while being embraced as a trusted business advisor and partner in finding appropriate business solutions.
    • Limited travel is required.
    • Experience with IP licensing and negotiation of vendor agreements is a plus.
