    Responsibilities

     

    Position Overview

     

    The Deal Analysis team is responsible for the financial evaluation all new acquisition and partnership targets for HomeServe in North America.  The team reports to the CFO and works closely with both Business Development and the HVAC Division. In this role you will be responsible for working with the Senior Vice President of Deal Analysis in coordinating the multi-departmental due diligence of target companies with specific responsibility for undertaking the financial due diligence for a large variety of acquisition opportunities.

     

    Essential Functions:

    • Detailed financial due diligence of a range of core and non-core acquisition targets
    • Preparing due diligence reports for each target and presenting findings to Executives and US Board
    • Support Deal Modelling team in creating financial models for each acquisition target as well as providing back-up modelling for acquisition and organic prospects during peak periods and vacations
    • Preparing post investment review reports for prior acquisitions and larger organic transactions and providing recommendations to improve the deal and diligence process
    • Working closely with Business Development in ad hoc financial evaluation of targets
    • Be the primary point of contact for Finance on deal related matters across all departments
    • Support Accounting team in preparing the Purchase Accounting model for transactions

    Qualifications

     

    • Education Requirements: Certified Public Accountant or equivalent
    • Prior financial due diligence experience, preferably with Transaction Services group with Big 4 Accounting Firm
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage groups during presentations
    • Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment
    • Self-starter able to work independently and comfortable with interacting up, down and across the organization
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems
    • Able to comply with 15%-20% business travel
    • Must have an ability to write concise diligence reports
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced work, dynamic growth environment
    • Strong Excel skills and knowledge of building DCF financial models
