The Director, Total Rewards will focus on the analysis, design, development, implementation and administration of cost-effective compensation and benefits programs within HomeServe USA. Effective program communications, consistency with the Company’s overall total rewards strategies and competitive positioning, compliance and integration with other HR policies and practices are key elements for success.

  • Play an integral and hands on role in the design, implementation, administration and analysis of HomeServe USA employee benefits programs
  • Analyze, evaluate, coordinate and recommend services, coverage, and options available through benefits consultant and insurance brokers to determine programs that best fit the HomeServe’s strategic objectives
  • Participate in negotiations with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors and consultants for services, premiums and plan administration
  • Manage benefit compliance initiatives to meet Federal and State requirements. Keep apprised of federal, state, and local employee benefits laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Analyze benefit plans for cost control and risk assessment factors
  • Prepare and present benefit recommendations and ensure all plan documentation is up-to-date and amendments are made as required
  • Oversee US open enrollment activities and all health and wellness activities
  • Evaluates market data, industry trends, and best practices, seeking opportunities to enhance the competitiveness of the compensation and benefits program
  • Leads market analysis of company jobs to determine competitive positioning of the organization's pay programs, including base pay and short- and long-term incentive pay
  • Guides management in the administration of incentive pay or salary increase cycles
  • Develops a compensation philosophy that assists the organization in meeting its business objectives
  • Participate in annual regulatory filing and testing requirements such as audits, discrimination, Form 5500s, etc.
  • Prepare and present benefit design and administration recommendations to EVP & Chief Human Resources Officer
  • Act as Chairperson of the Benefits Committee & Secretary of the Defined Contribution Committee; both of which include members from the Executive Leadership Team
  • Oversee administration of company compensation programs
  • Participate in the design, development and implementation of compensation programs including analysis, policy recommendation and administration
  • Consult with managers, supervisors and employees to analyze, document and evaluate jobs as needed. Conduct job and salary analyses to determine appropriate FLSA exemption status, salary levels, and grades/bands.
  • Analyze compensation policies against prevailing rates for similar jobs in comparable industries and / or geographic areas and recommend changes as appropriate to establish and maintain competitive rates
  • Participate in compensation surveys and apply research to company-wide compensation structure
  • Prepare and present compensation recommendations to EVP & Chief Human Resources Officer



  • At least 8+ years of progressive, related compensation and benefits administration experience working with vendors, auditors, legal counsel and other third-party providers for annual renewal, plan design, compliance and plan interpretation.
  • Must have knowledge of government regulations and filing/compliance requirements affecting employee compensation and benefits programs, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, Section 125, HIPAA and DOL requirements.

  • Self-directed and comfortable with accountability for meeting objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
