As an Inbound Project and Strategy intern, you will be an integral part of the Contact Center team. You will work closely with your manager and other team members over the 10 week program to gain useful knowledge and skills needed in today’s workforce. You will work on individual assignments and group projects that will be presented to Senior Leadership and other HomeServe teams. We offer professional development classes, key speakers and community outreach opportunities. You will have a program lead to guide you through your experience at HomeServe. The Inbound Project & Strategy Specialist Intern will:

  • Plan, execute and finalize the merging of multiple products offered to the customer, based on product vision and strategy, roadmap creation and communication, release planning, requirements gathering, functional specification all the way through to launch, and enhancement phases. This also includes:
    • Tracking, routing and assuring appropriate approvals, managing updates, identifying as well as drafting alternative standard verbiage for our terms and conditions.
  • Generate and provide data that will be used to target the company’s earnings in our net income per customer effort, as well as the duration of our customer base enrolled in those products.
  • Develop a strong product culture of innovation, rapid testing and continuous learning.
  • Manage relationship with all project stakeholders, including internal and external departments, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables in order to identify and prioritize product capabilities and gaps.
  • Look to effect positive change in project management processes through personal effort and influence within team/unit and seek opportunities to improve communication and streamline processes.
  • Work closely with and utilize tools and reporting as designed by the Finance, Planning and Analysis team.
  • Track scope and priority changes and their impact on the cost/timeframe of the project delivery. (Building a financial model)
  • Assure project legal documents are completed and signed.
  • Manage integration of team members' work; provide performance input to team members' functional management.
  • Coordinate information requests to be sent to targets.
  • Issue and handle confidentiality documents



  • Must be currently enrolled in BA/BS (4 year) program.
  • Current juniors and seniors preferred. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must be available to start in June and able to work standard business hours for the duration of the summer internship.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated and ability to set priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams in a collaborative, teamwork environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office – Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Must have an ability to write reports and have a basic understanding of legal documents.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of project management methodology.
  • Process management experience and Financial modeling experience (to support business cases, valuations, etc.) a PLUS.
