Our Receptionist will be responsible for greeting all visitors, providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities and tasks along with working on special projects as needed. This position will be the "face" of the HomeServe Norwalk, CT site for all visitors. 


  • Welcomes visitors by greeting, directing and announcing them appropriately
  • Monitor visitor access, maintain visitor logbook, issue visitor badges and assist with requests
  • Maintain log of all Employee visitors from all sites including, UK and Europe
  • Coordinate and maintain office space/work station needs, wifi and ad hoc requests (for visiting employees)
  • Follow and uphold HomeServe’s Code of Conduct and Information Security Policies
  • Maintain security by following HomeServe’s Physical Security Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and show discretion
  • Assist with directions, car service, taxi bookings, hotel and shuttle services
  • Receiving and sorting daily mail and all deliveries
  • Maintain Reception area
  • Maintain and coordinate conference room(s) bookings at HQ and assist with conference room(s) bookings at Building 301
  • Assist with video conferencing
  • Arrange catering on request
  • Arrange file storage pick-up and retrieval on request
  • Maintain employee directory
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support across departments (as needed) and in order of priority and deadline(s)
  • Assist Departments in preparation for Events
  • Assist Departments with research
  • Assist with Travel Booking
  • Ordering of Kitchen and Office Supplies



  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree or over 10 years’ of receptionist experience
  • Must have a positive attitude, be welcoming, energetic and provide a great first impression.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities
  • Ability to maintain and disseminate highly confidential information
  • Self-directed and ability to proactively assess problems and identify solutions
  • Must be customer service driven
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, visitors and applicants in a professional, pleasant and courteous manner at all times
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter who is able to prioritize, multi-task and handle a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on organization, accuracy and quality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required; Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio are also strongly desired. Will be trained on other software programs and procedures as needed
  • Prior experience editing and proofreading business correspondences and reports
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
