    As a Learning Design intern, you will be an integral part of the Human Resources team. You will work closely with your manager and other team members over the 10 week program to gain useful knowledge and skills needed in today’s workforce. You will work on individual assignments and group projects that will be presented to Senior Leadership and other HomeServe teams. We offer professional development classes, key speakers and community outreach opportunities. You will have a program lead to guide you through your experience at HomeServe. Your work can make an immediate impact in our rapidly growing organization.

    The Learning Design intern will:

    • Design learning experiences that align with the organization’s most pressing business challenges and talent skill gaps.
    • Create custom solutions to evolve the learning brand, improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
    • Work with Talent Partners, Business Leaders, and Employees to understand the needs of HomeServe.
    • Demonstrate your skills for partnering cross-departmentally by listening, partnering, consulting, and delivering on the organization’s greatest needs.
    • Use your deep knowledge of how people learn and grow to design and lead innovative, and modern learning strategies and programs for employees in a rapidly growing and fast-paced environment.
    • Take big and complex ideas and turn them into practical, culturally relevant solutions.
    • Work closely with others on the Learning & Development team to leverage one another’s greatest strengths and deliver on the needs of our stakeholders.
    • Design, develop, and deliver creative; innovative blended learning solutions through self-direction and co-creation; inviting discussion and debate and leveraging those ideas back into the solution to make recommendations to the business.
    • Enhance efficiencies and effectiveness of learning solutions (i.e. instructional design methodologies, process documentation, tools, performance consulting, etc.)


    • Must be currently enrolled in BA/BS (4 year) program.
    • Current juniors and seniors preferred. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Must be available to start in June and able to work standard business hours for the duration of the summer internship.
    • Self-directed, highly motivated and ability to set priorities with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams in a collaborative, teamwork environment.
    • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning, and learning technologies.
    • Proficiency with Articulate, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML knowledge preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Familiarity with Learning Management System functionality.
    • Experience with content authoring tools.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong conceptual skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and the ability to take a project from inception to completion.
    • Ability to take creative direction and go through iterative rounds of revisions to deliver best work.
    • Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.
