Position Overview:

The full-time, direct response copywriter collaborates with key members of the marketing department to execute a variety of projects for internal and external use. This role delivers requests within tight deadlines. Strong direct mail experience, knowledge of online and email marketing, and the ability to understand what resonates with an assortment of target audiences are keys to the success of this position.

Responsibilities

 

  • Translate marketing strategy and objectives into direct response creatives that generate strong response rates
  • Modifying copy until external/internal clients are satisfied.
  • Work closely with internal teams including marketing, production, business development and human resources to execute projects under tight deadlines
  • Respond quickly to requests while maintaining high creative standards
  • Proof and edit own work and the work of others as needed to ensure quality

Qualifications/Skills

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of direct response copywriting experience.
  • An understanding of direct response methods, tactics and strategies
  • Proven track record of success in Direct Mail
  • Experience proofing and editing own work and ensuring output meets specifications
  • Ability to work collaboratively with designers, production and printing

Desired skills:

 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Superior attention to detail are key qualifications for this role
  • Abililty to take direction and respond to feedback
  • Proven ability to multi-task and successfully manage multiple, concurrent projects with tight deadlines
