Position Overview

Determines structural change requirements of the current databases by analyzing reporting requirements, applications, and programming in order to move the current databases into a harmonious data environment that will support growth across the enterprise.  


Defines how the data will be stored, consumed, integrated and managed by different data entities and IT systems, as well as any applications using or processing that data in some way.




  • Responsible for the design and oversight of the migration of data from legacy systems. 
  • Designing the future state of any new development and establishing the processes to ingest new data. 
  • Participate in the Architectural Review Board.
  • Provide operational support for Reporting and Analytics teams including functional guidance within the existing environments and design for future needs. 
  • Analyze structural requirements for new software, applications or environments related to the enterprise data storage in both the operating solutions and the reporting solutions.
  • Set up data governance and code review processes. 
  • Provide technical and data leadership to the application development group, IT and the enterprise architect regarding the future direction of systems, how that direction will impact the enterprise, and how future and current systems can be exploited for the benefit of the enterprise. 
  • Work closely with other IT groups to coordinate current and future plans involving enterprise data management and identifying potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field required (Master’s degree preferred) 
  • 5+ years’ experience in a data analysis or management role 
  • Proven ability to work in distributed systems 
  • The ability to work on multiple tasks in a constantly changing environment 
  • Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
  • In-depth understanding of database structure principles 
  • Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements 
  • They should be a motivated self-starter that can get the job done with minimal supervision 
  • Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques 
  • Expertise in SQL and Oracle 
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, D3.js and R)
  • Proven analytical skills 
  • Experience with a modeling tool (ER Studio, Erwin)
