Position Overview

The Hyperion Planning Administrator position will support the Finance department in the administration and development of the Hyperion Planning applications. This position will be part of the Financial Systems Solutions team and will interact closely with members of the Finance and Accounting departments.





  • Perform administrative activities for Hyperion Planning and FDMEE including metadata maintenance, data loads, and security for three environments
  • Support month-end closing process
  • Ensure the integrity of data migrations between Hyperion Applications
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of business operations.
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to internal customers to troubleshoot issues and minimize down time for the end user during the month-end close and forecasting processes.
  • Create/modify simple calculation scripts, business rules, or forms to meet the needs of the enterprise.
  • Work with the external support vendor or consultant on more complex changes.
  • Assist with internal control documentation and provide quarterly metadata and user access reviews.
  • Provide support and training as necessary to end-users to ensure all functional users understand the application capabilities delivered and how those capabilities can be utilized to perform their roles.
  • Create and maintain administrator and end user training documentation
  • Set up and maintenance of end user security, which includes creating and provisioning of user groups, filters and security profiles in alignment with the needs of the business.
  • Maintenance of data backups and understanding of disaster recovery practices.
  • Staying abreast of latest trends and best practices both internally and externally within functional role.
  • Assist with other FP&A projects or tasks as requested.




  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 2-5 years of experience working with Hyperion products as an administrator.
  • Experience with Planning, Smart View, and FDMEE a must.
  • Strong problem solving abilities and technical aptitude.
  • Strong skills related to execution and implementation of process changes.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work independently and be accountable for results.
  • High degree of attention to detail and organization.
