The Billing Analyst Operations position is a position that drives the success of our Billing Department.  The key component of this position is the ability to manage payment processing to ensure timely and accurate execution, detailed data analysis and the ability to identify process improvement to maximize collection rates.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of billing operations to maximize collection rates.
  • Provide data for ad hoc requests as needed. Must able to think analytically and develop an expert understanding of business operational systems to query, summarize, and present information quickly and accurately.
  • Ensure the integrity of the billing system by establishing the appropriate system of metrics and internal controls.
  • Research new payment methods – determine feasibility and prepare recommendations and business case in support of recommendations.
  • Lead efforts to improve and streamline current processes to drive efficiency, quality, and accuracy of billing operations.
  • Maintain billing vendor relationships to ensure compliance with billing industry standards and industry trends.
  • Perform summary analysis to predict operations activity for given periods and conduct post-mortem research to explain variances from expected results.
  • Provide data for ad hoc requests as needed. Must able to think analytically and develop an expert understanding of business operational systems to query, summarize, and present information quickly and accurately.

Qualifications/Skills

  • 3 - 6 Years of Billing and/or Project Leadership Experience
  • College degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business Operations, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external personnel in a positive manner utilizing strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to converse at a technical level with IT
  • Demonstrated analytical and decision making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve quickly in a fast paced environment.
  • Team oriented, a self-starter, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail to appropriately manage the complexity of the processes involved.
  • Occasional travel as needed
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments and meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of PCI (Payment Card Industry) requirements and support company efforts to ensure compliance
