Position Overview

 The production artist collaborates with fellow marketing department team members to create, edit and release a high-volume of direct mail projects for monthly mail campaigns. Under the supervision of the creative services manager, this role interacts directly with a variety of individuals across the marketing department. Superior attention to detail, strong production skills, knowledge of print production and best practices for digital mechanical file set-up are keys to the success of this position. This position will be based out of the Canonsburg, PA office.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Work closely with internal teams including marketing, production and business development to execute design projects under tight deadlines
  • Review, edit and proof a high volume of digital InDesign files while maintaining above-average accuracy and digital file integrity.
  • Build complex print-ready files using layers in InDesign with an acute attention to detail.
  • Respond quickly to requests while maintaining production and design standards
  • Prepare InDesign files for digital and offset printing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of printing processes, keen attention to detail and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Collecting, checking and uploading files, ability to proof and resolve quarries throughout the production process.
  • Energized by a fast-paced environment, positive team-building attitude
  • Portfolio should includes samples of print Direct Mail campaigns

 

Qualifications/Skills

 

Qualifications:

  • Advanced level skills using Adobe CC InDesign and Acrobat. applications (A test will be administered).
  • Proficiencent using Adobe CC Photoshop and Illustrator software.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a production department environment.
  • Thorough understanding of the printing process plus knowledge of lasering for direct mail components.
  • Experience creating and building InDesign files using the layers palette.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
