Our Receptionist/office administrator will be responsible for greeting all visitors, providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities and tasks along with working on special projects as needed.  This position will be the "face" of the HomeServe Norwalk, CT site for all visitors and will need to be positive, welcoming and energetic and provide a great first impression.





  • Welcomes visitors by greeting, directing and announcing them appropriately
  • Follow and uphold HomeServe’s Code of Conduct and Information Security Policies
  • Maintain security by following HomeServe’s Physical Security policies and procedures
    • monitor visit access
    • maintain visitor logbook
    • issue visitor badges
  • Keep log of all employee visitors from all sites and from the UK and Europe
    • Assist with office/work station needs and wifi
  • Assist with directions in getting to HS HQ and parking/arrival instructions
  • Assist with Car Service bookings for visitors/admin Team requests
  • Assist with Hotel bookings for visitors/admin Team requests
  • Assist with shuttle bookings to/from Hotel(s) as needed
  • Assist with any taxi booking requirements
  • Printing boarding passes for visitors/visiting employees
  • Answering and/or referring inquiries
  • Take and relay messages
  • Receiving and sorting daily mail/deliveries/couriers and assist with creating and printing FedEx labels on request
  • Maintaining and organizing reception area
  • Assist with conference room scheduling
  • Assist with conference room bookings at 301
  • Will also learn to use and assist with the video conferencing system in the Board Room
  • Arrange catering when needed
  • Arrange file storage pick up and retrieval when needed
  • Maintain employee directory; giving instructions
  • Providing general administrative and clerical support to team members when needed and in order of priority and deadlines
  • Maintain confidentiality and show discretion



  • Minimum of a high school diploma; Associate’s degree preferred
  • Must be customer service driven
  • Ability to interact with people in a professional and courteous manner
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
  • Must be a self-starter who is able to prioritize, multi-task and handle a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on organization, accuracy and quality
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, ability to stand, walk and bend
