Our Receptionist/office administrator will be responsible for greeting all visitors, providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities and tasks along with working on special projects as needed.  This position will be the "face" of the HomeServe Norwalk, CT site for all visitors and will need to be positive, welcoming and energetic and provide a great first impression.




Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Welcomes visitors by greeting, directing and announcing them  appropriately
  • Maintain employee directory; giving instructions
  • Maintain security by following HomeServe’s Physical Security policies and procedures; monitor visit access, maintain visitor logbook and issuing visitor badges
  • Answering or referring inquiries
  • Take and relay messages
  • Receiving and sorting daily mail/deliveries/couriers
  • Maintaining and organizing reception area, conference rooms, supply areas and kitchen areas
  • Providing general administrative and clerical support to team members when needed
  • Arrange catering when needed
  • Arrange file storage pick up and retrieval when needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and show discretion
  • Follow and uphold HomeServe’s Code of Conduct and Information Security Policies



  • Minimum of a high school diploma; Associate’s degree preferred
  • Must be customer service driven
  • Ability to interact with people in a professional and courteous manner
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
  • Must be a self-starter who is able to prioritize, multi-task and handle a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on organization, accuracy and quality
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, ability to stand, walk and bend
